Time to reflect
As the year comes to an end, it can be interesting to take a look back at the year, considering key elements, highs and lows. Often our minds go to holidays or special events, births, deaths, new jobs, and so on, to form an opinion, of what may be considered a ‘good’ or a ‘bad’ year.
Here at J&S Davis, we focus on the highs, with our strengths being our incredibly knowledgeable, hard-working team, commitment to bringing quality dental solutions to make dental care practitioners professional life easier and of course the quality products that J&S Davis brings to the UK market. This year we reflect on the top selling product for each brand, as firstly, it’s good for us to know and secondly, it’s good for you to know! LM Instruments are renowned for their ergonomics, reducing the risk of RSI, making dentistry more comfortable for the practitioner and the patient. It’s no surprise once again, that the top seller for LM this year (and for many!), is the LM Mini Sickle – loved by hygienists and therapists across the board.
Curasept offers a range of chlorhexidine mouthwashes with Anti Discolouration System, as well as Biosmalto remineralising and sensitivity range and Afterapid for mouth ulcers and sores. This year, we have seen significant growth, both with Biosmalto and Afterapid, but the front-runner is Curasept ADS 220 mouthwash – the most intense chlorhexidine mouthwash containing 0.2% chlorhexidine, available in 200ml, 900ml and 5 litre pump bottle.
Other best sellers include Meisinger Pulp Chamber Burs, BPR Swiss Smart-Port, Cavex ImpreSafe Impression Disinfectant, AB Germa Vacuum Pillow, Hammacher Castroveijo Micro Needle Holder and L&R Plaster and Stone Remover.
2025 has seen Polydentia go from strength to strength, bring a welcomed flash of pink, in the shape of a flamingo to the UK dental market in the form of the myQuickmat Prime matrix system with integrated wedge. That being said, the true winner for Polydentia is the Unica Anterior matrix system, with the Unica Proximal not far behind.
Last, but not least, we consider the J&S Davis own brand – Solo, which comprises needles, saliva ejectors, water purification system and impression trays. The top Solo product for 2025 was Solo Impression Trays – 100% recyclable, flexible and reliable.
