Dental matrix systems are a fundamental part of restorative procedures within the dentistry industry. These systems are often comprised of dental matrices and wedges, which work in unison to complete the restoration. A dental matrix is a type of band adaptable to the surface of the tooth it is restoring, enabling it to reproduce the tooth's anatomical contours. This means it is able to replace missing walls, meaning a composite cavity becomes a simple cavity for efficient restoration. This restorative procedure is made even easier by a dental wedge, used to separate the teeth to hold the matrix in place for ease of operation. Dental professionals can perform both anterior and posterior procedures efficiently using these instruments in harmony, with guaranteed patient comfort.

At J&S Davis, we distribute a range of industry-leading products, allowing you to build a dental matrix system to suit your specific application needs. We believe in only providing the best, which is why all the components we stock and distribute have been carefully innovated by our trusted partner, Polydentia, a Swiss medical technology manufacturer. Polydentia has been renowned for its unrivalled technologies, consistent dental equipment development and constantly pushing the boundaries of restorative dentistry for over 40 years. Their products guarantee high performance and quality, providing only the best Swiss quality for dental professionals.

Matrices:

We stock a wide range of Polydentia's dental matrices, depending on your application needs and whether you carry out an anterior or posterior restorative procedure. Their steel matrices, including the Siqveland, Tofflemire and Anatomic models, are ideal for posterior restorations and come in various heights and thicknesses. There is also their contoured range, made up again of a Tofflemire and Anatomical model. These matrices are easy to burnish, as they're comprised of soft stainless steel, also available in various sizes and flexible to your procedural needs. For an optimised composite polymerisation during posterior restorations, we recommend transparent matrices, including their polyester Tofflemire matrix. Alternatively, we offer the Clearmat variation, which is anatomically preformed, and the Tofflemire Contoured Transparent Matrix.

If sectional matrices are more applicable for your dental procedure, Polydentia has innovated a Quickmat model, which is easy to position and again made of soft stainless steel. Alternatively, you could consider their LumiContrast Sectional Matrix systems, which are ideal if your application requires using a loupe or a microscope.

For anterior restorations, the steel Unica Anterior has a contoured anatomical shape for efficient usage and flawless performance.

Matrix Strips:

Suppose matrix bands aren't for you and you prefer to use strips for your composite restorations. In that case, Polydentia also offers a range of matrix strips in both stainless steel and transparent polyester variations.

Wedges:

Regarding wedges, we distribute their Hemo, Interdental Maple Wood, Macro wedges, as well as their myWedge and The Wedge. All of these combine the latest dental technology with an innovative design for efficient use in restorative procedures. They come in different sizes to ensure they're adaptable to your application needs and your patient's comfort.

We also stock other Polydentia dental supplies, including their myJunior Kit, Forceps and dental Rings, amongst other products that may enhance your dental matrix systems.
