Solo has been at the forefront of disposable dental products since 1964 when we launched the first disposable needle in the UK dental market. During the first year sales of the SOLO needle exceeded several million to the delight of clinicians and astonishment of the Dental Trade. Solo Saliva Ejectors soon followed and have gone on to be a market leader for more than a generation.
In 1969 Solo Impression Trays were conceived and born. With input from Professor McGregor of Newcastle Dental School the anatomically designed tray became instantly popular; the numbering system eventually became the universal Impression Tray numbering system for plastic trays in UK and much of Europe. Solo Impression trays were refreshed in 2000 and now benefit from a lockable handle, enhanced anatomical design, more rigid plastic for use with Alginate and elastomeric impression materials.
